Guy Evans and Jamie
Howell go back a long way – they grew up together in the Wenatchee,
Wash., area and both attended the University of Washington. And though
their lives have taken them down different paths, the friends both
recently ended up back in Wenatchee and collaborating on a project
they hope makes a difference.

Michigan’s
Apples Head South of the Border
Michigan apple
growers, shippers, elected officials and agricultural representatives
gathered Feb. 16 to celebrate the first exports ever of Michigan
apples to Mexico. After nearly a decade of work by the Michigan
apple industry to meet Mexican selling requirements, a celebration
was held at Dietrich Brothers Orchard in Conklin.
