Having just read your editorial “Specialty crop welfare program? Just say No!” I must exclaim, sir, you possess exceptional insight. Your ability to analyze the increasingly complex relationship issues between our nation’s tree fruit industry and its national government is excellent. The wrongheaded direction of increased government dependence that you so aptly describe was a significant factor in my decision to prematurely retire from tree fruit production, at least for the time being. Thanks for the good coverage.
